Today started with one of the hardest moments I ever had in my life.
I actually was dreading to face this day for the passed two weeks!

My husband was sent off to one the countries where the UAE is part of the Peace Program there.

I used to feel for families with someone defending countries not their own but never did I realize how hard it is until this morning.

A year from our lives has passed…
On the 19th of January, I grew year older…
2012… I come to you in peace… please return the gesture!

I was putting this off… I was in a turmoil… with myself… my new back issue… my boys… the new house… and with my cooking… I just didn’t want to write… didn’t want to express… didn’t want to sit in bed late at night (the only time I can have some peace and quiet) to write my post, edit photographs and increase the back pain…
Then I just felt I needed to focus on the house… and of course my boys… getting sick and better… cranky and calm… it was all part of me ….
Right now, I’m actually dosing off and it’s only 10:45pm!

Ok ok… yes that was last night… I slept while typing! >_<

I’ll casually just say that I was planning to post the recipe of my Dates & Mastic Firin Sutlac until I saw these earthy brown truffles snuggled in a basket in the fridge!
That was when I couldn’t post… that was when my Firin Sutlac became unimportant (Although it was delicious)… that was when I stopped reminiscing about not having anything to post for National Day or Marwan’s Birthday!
